虛擬實境夯 宏達電押寶
（中央社記者江明晏台北7日電）研調TrendForce指出，2020年全球虛擬實境(VR)市場規模衝向700億美元，除了宏達電等廠競相投入硬體，YouTube、紐約時報等也協助消費者開發VR內容，豐富產業生態系。
VR裝置成為最近熱門話題，TrendForce旗下拓墣產業研究所預估，2016年VR軟硬體的產值將達67億美元，2020年更會成長到700億美元。
拓墣穿戴裝置分析師蔡卓卲表示，這些數字還不足以反映VR產業的火熱，因為很多非營利應用沒有計算入列。免費軟體、自製工具，都是目前產業發展的特色，雖不會直接帶來營收，卻是市場發展與創新最重要推手。
蔡卓卲指出，現在是VR產業的萌芽時期，廠商如果無法提供足夠的內容，就讓消費者自己製作，這也是Facebook、YouTube、Lytro等廠商會提供VR影片相關軟體工具與服務的原因。利用消費者自拍、上傳、分享的習慣，不但可以產生讓消費者感興趣的VR內容，更可透過社群分享，擴大VR的影響力與平台黏著度。
蔡卓卲表示，NBA也在最新賽季引入VR技術，希望透過VR效果，將比賽的臨場感帶給未能蒞臨現場的觀眾，激發他們對於NBA的熱情，增加對籃球賽事的參與度。 媒體巨擘紐約時報開發NYT VR免費應用程式，同樣不以營利出發，提供的VR影片讓消費者可以切身體驗新聞，燃起對議題的關注和VR的興致。
蔡卓卲表示，VR產業的發展，不光靠Sony、Oculus、宏達電等廠商除了力推穿戴裝置，還需要許多隱藏在產值下，自主開發者提供的創意應用程式來建立自身的產業生態系。由於應用程式開發的門檻降低，除吸引開發商投入意願，也帶來許多非營利軟體出現。學生、獨立開發者等軟體、影音內容提供者目的不是獲利，而是為了分享、展示自我，或存在不同的動機，因為跳脫商業利益的考量，產品更願意放入創新的嘗試吸引消費者注目。
蔡卓卲說，知名大廠正積極爭取這些獨立開發者的支持，或是透過產學合作以求強化自家VR內容的多樣化與價值。1041207
